Hi there, Lately, one thing keeps coming up again and again in sessions, classrooms, and conversations with families. Self-regulation. Because when regulation is off, everything feels harder. Attention, behavior, participation, transitions… even skills we know a child can do start to fall apart. That’s why this is always such a big focus for us during our play groups at The Treehouse. Not just managing behavior in the moment, but helping kids build the underlying skills they need to stay more regulated in the first place. So, just in time for OT Month, we're sharing a few of our go-to regulation resources! 👉 Self-Regulation Handbook 👉 Managing Challenging Behavior Freebie 👉 Co-Regulation Freebie 👉 Our Favorite Self-Regulation Toys 👉 Free Printable Emotions Activity 👉Our Favorite Games for Self-Regulation (Free Printable) When we shift from reacting to behavior… to understanding what’s behind it…everything changes. And that’s where real progress begins! -Claire & Lauren |
