🙌 FREEBIE - Hand Strengthening Through Everyday Play
Published 19 days ago • 1 min read
Hey there!
In our last email, we talked about how to tell if a child has weak hand muscles. Today, we’re getting down to the nitty gritty - once you’ve identified that a child has weak hands, what the heck can you do about it?
Our hand strengthening resources are filled to the brim with exercises and activities that are designed to build the hand muscles (along with colorful images and scannable video codes). As pediatric therapists, we love to use these activities during therapy sessions with kids. More info to come on those! But we’re often left wondering, is the work we’re doing in our therapy sessions enough to make a difference? Are kids really getting benefits in just one or two sessions a week?
The answer is yes, BUT we know we'll get much better results when there is some simple follow-through at home and in the classroom. So what can kids do at home to build hand strength?
The answer is simple - PLAY!
Yep. It really is that simple. There are tons of super fun everyday play activities that can help with building hand strength. And that’s what today’s printable is all about! These ideas will make it nice and easy for families to follow through on building those hand muscles at home!
If you’re a therapist or a teacher, print out a few copies to send home with your kids! If you’re a parent, print one out and hang it on the fridge as a reminder of some quick, fun ways to promote hand strength in your kids!
We hope you’ll continue to follow along with us as we continue to share more hand strengthening resources with you!
